He received his B.S. degree in Business
Administration from the University of Nebraska in 2007, with emphases in
Corporate Finance, Commercial Banking and Investment Science and
Portfolio Management. He is a member of the American Society of
Appraisers and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
DJ has performed extensive industry and
competitor analysis across a broad spectrum of industries, including
health care, professional practices, convenience stores/service
stations, fast-food franchises, personal care products, and real estate.
Before joining Kotzin Valuation Partners, DJ
was an intern at Smith Barney's Omaha offices, where he performed
financial analyses of individual companies in industries including
consumer staples and healthcare. In addition, he was a Senior Analyst in
the Mavericks Investment Group at the University of Nebraska, where he
assisted in managing a $500,000 portfolio that consistently outperformed
its benchmark index. He was also an associate at Ringel Kotzin Valuation
Services.
In the community, DJ is a volunteer for
Junior Achievement of Arizona, helping elementary school students learn
the key concepts of entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial
literacy. DJ also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona,
where he helps to build simple, decent and affordable homes in
partnership with families in need.
