Brian Jones is the firm's
financial reporting practice leader.
He has performed numerous valuations and financial analyses for a variety of
purposes including financial reporting, tax planning, fairness and solvency
opinions, transaction advisory, litigation, and strategic planning. Past and
current clients range in size from private, early-stage companies to
Fortune 500 multinational public
companies.
Brian has substantial knowledge of public auditor
(financial reporting), IRS and SEC expectations. He specializes in
business valuation for financial reporting purposes (i.e.,
ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 805, ASC 815, etc.) and has
significant experience in the identification, valuation and determination of
the remaining economic useful life of intangible assets, including:

Additionally, Brian has substantial experience in the valuation of privately

Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Economics
from Oregon State University and his Masters in Financial Market and Trading
from Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Kotzin Valuation Partners, Brian was a vice president in the Seattle office of Duff & Phelps,
LLC and a Senior Associate in the Corporate Value Consulting practice in
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Seattle office.
